Pure Essential Oil True Lavender. Lavender oil, French Fine High Alt. The scent is fresh and sweet, floral, natural and winsome. French Lavender has a higher ester content than lavenders cultivated at lower altitudes. For Lavender high altitudes are preferable. The distillations carried out at higher altitudes tend to produce improved oils, due to lower distillation temperatures. This 100% pure essential oil is the most universal oil used in aromatherapy, obtained by steam distillation from the flowering tops. Pale yellow liquid with a sweetish floral scent.
Pure Essential Oil A cross of Spike Lavender and True Lavender, called also Lavandula x intermedia. Lavandin oil, Grosso, France is sweet, less floral with somewhat oilier-camphor body notes compared to other Lavender oils. Camphor like notes are noticeable on the dry blotter. This is also a beautiful oil and an excellent product. It is a matter of debate, but this might be the best Lavandin available in the US market. It is imported direct from France where it is grown and distilled. Lavandin oil contains between 7-12% camphor, making it more powerful than lavender oil and therefore great for colds. It can also act as a mild stimulant. Lavandin has more medicinal scent, whereas lavender is floral, sweet and more delicate. More antiseptic but less suitable for burns. Main Components: linalyl acetate, linalool, terpineol, cineol, limonene, camphene, terpinene. |
